Sarah Palin Fires Back – Couric and Fey Cash In – Caroline Kennedy

It seems everyone but the “real” Sarah Palin has cashed in on “Sarah Palin.” And it would appear the petite “Reaganite” might have had her fill of being picked on.  Call her what you want, but for me … She’s who I would want to be when I grow up — if I weren’t already grown up that is!

During an interview with conservative Filmmaker John Ziegler, (not my John Ziegler) for his upcoming documentary film “How Obama God Elected,” Palin said, “I’ve been interested to see how Caroline Kennedy will be handled and if she will be handled with kid gloves or if she will be under such a microscope.”

She also said, “It’s going to be interesting to see how that plays out; and I think that as we watch that we will perhaps be able to prove that there is a class issue here, also that, was such a factor in the scrutiny of my candidacy versus, say, the scrutiny of what her candidacy may be.”

Personally, I believe every generation of the Kennedy clan has received preferential treatment. But, this is not the time for me to venture into the topic of the Kennedys. Maybe later, on another blog; just not here – today.

The media likes to call Palin by names such as “mama bear” and “grizzly” among others. Giving only a mere consideration toward common courtesy, almost anyone else would have lashed back and done so long ago. But, not our Sarah Palin. She speaks with a crisp tongue that gives respect while making a clear statement in undertone – she also expects her due respect with a little common sense – and truth!

During her interview with John Ziegler, she also said, “I did see that Tina Fey was named entertainer of the year and Katie Couric’s ratings have risen,” she said. “And I know that a lot of people are capitalizing on, oh I don’t know, perhaps some exploiting that was done via me, my family, my administration. That’s a little bit perplexing, but it also says a great deal about our society.”

So much is said in that remark, without having to ‘twist’ or ‘distort’ the reality. While the media was capitalizing on Palin by exploiting her family’s life and private matters, giving to innuendos, promoting untruths by suggestion – as much as they might deny it – their actions speak volumes. What became most apparent to me was their own (the media) inner conflicts and lack of ability to control them: Love to hate her, hate to love her – it’s like pulling flower petals – they can’t make up their own minds!

Envy and jealousy are ugly little monsters if you ask me. Yet respectful Sarah refrained from accidentally calling Fey and Couric by Envy and Jealousy. Always the Diplomat our Ms. Palin.

And, while she could have gave an accurate advance ‘statement’ as to how Caroline Kennedy will be treated by the media (kid gloves filled with down), she left us with a question instead. A question that logically gives answer unto itself.

I wonder how Ms. Kennedy will be able to cope with the reality of the world outside of her elitist group and Washington. That should be an eye-opening experience for everyone, including herself.
What do you think?

Bail Out Bill Defeated

Word just out, the bail out bill couldn’t get the necessary votes to pass. As the Dow started its plung this morning, the defeat of this bill finds the Dow in a continued downward plunge.

The question now is where do we go from here? Will they send it back to the house? Will they take it before the Senate? That’s still up for debate. What we do know at this point? The market is down 500 points, the credit market is frozen, investors are looking for something safer elsewhere.

What we don’t know is where the average American is left dangling.

Many will blame the republicans for this mess, many more already have; but to those, again I would have to ask them “who holds the majority seats the past two years?” And, “Wasn’t it two years ago that our economy started to fall apart?” Because it sure isn’t the Republicans!

Churchs Will Back McCain/Palin Despite Tax Law

“I would cast a vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin,” said Pastor Luke Emrich. “But friends, it’s your choice to make, it’s not my choice. I won’t be in the voting booth with you.”

Calling upon scriptures, Pasotr Emrich said, “I’m telling you straight up, I would choose life.”

IRS Rules prohibit Political endorsements for tax-exempt nonprofits, yet 33 Pastors in 22 States plan to do just that. These Churches are willing to risk a legal fight and even their tax-exempt status to support the McCain/Palin ticket.

Pastor Jody Hice of Bethlehim Baptist Church in Georgia, in an interview Sunday said it was more ‘a matter of First Amendment issue’ and comparing Obama versus McCain, McCain holds more to a biblical world vew. Hice said, “To say the church can’t deal with moral and societal issues if it enters into the political arena is just wrong, it’s unconstitutional.”

In 1954 Congress amended the tax code, to state that certain nonprofit groups [including secular charities and places of worship], can actually lose their tax-exempt status for participating in campaign or involvement with Political candidates.

According to Robert Tuttle, a professor of law and religion, the sermons delivered by these Pastors are a clear violation of IRS rules. Conservative Arizona based Alliance Defense Fund, a legal group, plans to send copies of the Pastors’ sermons to the IRS. The hope is to set off a legal fight and abolish the restrictions on church involvement in politics. But, even if the IRS rises to the bait, Professor Tuttle says there’s virtually no chance the courts will strike down the prohibition. “The government is allowed, as long as it has a reasonable basis for doing it, to treat political and nonpolitical speech differently, and that’s essentially what it’s done here,” Tuttle said.

Bridge to Nowhere?

The Obama camp has become so shaken and scared where Sarah Palin is concerned, and they continue (Biden included) to whine about the bridge to nowhere. But, they seem to have forgotten two very important facts:

1. The project for the “Bridge to nowhere” was already in place before Governor Palin took office.

2. They neglect to mention – both times it came up for vote, Senator Obama voted to support the project for the “Bridge to nowhere.”

Why is it that the Obama camp makes no mention of these two key facts?

Undecided Voters

As we come closer to election day, the candidates will be campaigning their hardest in an attempt to win our votes. For the undecided voter this can create more confusion. With so much information coming at us from every media imaginable, it can become overwhelming and hard to remember the facts of each candidate, for some of us. (Lipstick (top menu) page is a must read, too)

So, here are some video clips worthy of watching …

Sarah Palin: Vice President

Can America ask for anything more?

Governor Sarah Palin – All American, Independent, Business Woman, Mother, Maverick, Leader, Athlete, and the list goes on and on … If Americans thought Senator Obama’s Democratic nomination was historic – Move over Obama – and make room for Governor (and future VP) Sarah Palin. She’s breaking ground, and doing so, in a major way!

American voters have been presented the opportunity to really ‘change’ our country for the better – and in a huge way – not change (nickels and dimes) in our pockets, but a DIFFERENCE. A Real Difference, for the better.

She IS shattering that glass ceiling Sen. Hillary Clinton almost attained.

Talk about perfection in politics and Governor Palin is sure to come to mind – first. Winging her speech, due to a broken teleprompter, only proves her competency and capability; with words [spoken] being those of her own mind, not that of a speech writer.

This pit bull, soccer mom in lipstick, not only took on the issues – she gave straight, clear cut answers. That’s something refreshing when it comes to politics. Republican Vice Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin, not only captivates the listen, she hears and listens to what the people want and need!

Wolf Blitzer, with CNN said, “It wasn’t just a home run, it may have been a grand slam.”
And NBC’S Tom Brokaw said, “A very auspicious debut.”
Jeff Greenfield, with CBS said, “Perfect populist pitch.”

Chris Wallace (Fox), Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer (CNN), all agree on one thing: “A Star is Born.”

I have to agree with my fellow ‘great minded’ reporters. Governor Palin is the brightest light at the end of that dark tunnel. She is refreshing and just what the doctor ordered for our Great Country. She truly represents what this country was founded on and what this country needs. She is the salve to heal the current wounds of our economy, environment, foreign affairs, and so much more.

Anyone who viewed her speech, could only be left with the conclusion: Obama is ‘paling’ in comparision to Palin. And Senator Obama has shown just how scared and intimidated he is (and rightly so) when it comes to Governor Palin. If I didn’t know better, I would think Obama was running against her (Palin), not Senator John McCain.

Senator Obama wasted no time in attacking Governor Palin and her background. I would have to say, this time, his antics have backfired in a big way. Maybe this will give Senator Obama good reason to learn some impulse control techniques, which he is clearly lacking.

Senator Obama’s launched attacks towards Gov. Palin solidifies the answer to who is more qualified; and Obama’s obvious inability to focus his attention on the issue at hand or even what the issue is, has left him in a dust cloud. Yes, Senator Obama, you should be scared … very scared! Standing side by side – Gov. Palin (A Pit Bull in lipstick) is not one to be intimidated by a formidable opponent, much less by rhetoric and cliche’ promises. Governor Palin is the “force to be reckoned with” and I predict, “she will be the next Vice-President” only to be over-shadowed by her future as President of the United States.
